Position: Part-Time Treasurer
Location: Hybrid – Littleton, CO
This is a direct-hire opportunity paying $25–$30/hour depending on experience, with a flexible start date before the end of May to allow for training with the retiring Treasurer.
AimHire is partnering exclusively with a mission-driven Evangelical Lutheran Church in Littleton, Colorado, to find a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time Treasurer. This flexible, hybrid role offers the opportunity to contribute to a meaningful nonprofit mission while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
The position is approximately 15–20 hours/week, with a requirement to be onsite one day per week. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a faith-based, purpose-driven organization and brings solid financial analysis and accounting experience.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and cashflow projections.
- Manage restricted revenue records and ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards.
- Customize and generate reports in QuickBooks Online.
- Coordinate with a third-party accounting and payroll firm to process payroll for approximately 75 employees.
- Collaborate with staff and leadership to monitor budget variances and ensure financial goals are met.
- Lead budget development with department heads and allocate funds within QuickBooks.
- Participate in monthly Finance Committee meetings and implement follow-up action items.
- Maintain accurate internal controls and compliance with 501(c)(3) standards.
- Perform other related financial and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (strongly preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management, analysis, or accounting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required.
- Experience with nonprofit financials, budgeting, and compliance.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive problem-solver.
- Ability to work independently with flexible hours.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Comfortable participating in monthly financial discussions with leadership.
