Application Cybersecurity Engineer
Location: Chicago, IL, USA
Duration: 10 months
Work Schedule: Hybrid (Monday to Friday; first shift, onsite twice a week)
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and address security vulnerabilities identified through tools like CodeQL and Rapid7.
Collaborate with software engineers to enhance application security.
Implement and monitor automated security tools.
Coordinate penetration testing and manage security assessments.
Required Qualifications:
5 years in cloud architecture and software engineering.
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Professional certifications in cybersecurity or software engineering (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, CompTIA Security , ISC2 CSLP).
Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Salesforce) and programming languages.
Experience with security analysis tools and frameworks like OWASP Top 10 and MITRE CWE Top 25.
Preferred Experience:
Background in Fortune 500 companies.
Experience in eCommerce, device telematics, data analytics, or mobile applications.
Soft Skills:
Strong decision-making and communication abilities.
Active participation in team settings.
