Electrical Engineer

Examples of work/duties and desired outcomes:

• Actively manages technical project components as well as schedule and budget review. Serves as the technical client liaison to bring the technical project components and scope of work to successful completion and to the client’s satisfaction.
• Performs technical discipline tasks including research, reports, design, specifications, and plan preparation to ensure efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.
• Perform load calculations, circuit and conductor sizing calculations, protective device coordination studies, Arc Flash calculations, etc.
• Complete power distribution plan designs, single-line drawings, grounding plans, panel schedules, cable schedules, cable tray layouts, lighting plans, control narratives, control schematics, interconnect diagrams, heat trace drawings, etc.
• Develop equipment data sheets, bill of materials, submittal reviews and approvals, etc.
• Coordinates work efforts and reviews of work performed by design staff. Supervises and mentors design team to overall project objectives.
• Develops innovative project approach and assists in the organization and preparation of proposals.
• Keeps informed of new developments and requirements affecting the organization and projects.
• Develops internal standards and guidelines.
• Responsible for maintaining licensure and keeping up with industry standards and software.

Requirements (education, licensing, certifications, etc.):

• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate area of study – Electrical Engineering.
• PE License.
• 10 Years of related experience.
• Experience with:
• High voltage
• AutoCAD and REVIT
• Arc Flash, ETAP, and SKM
• Substations, power grid, and backup power
• Switchgears, motoes, combustion engines, and turbines
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
