Job Title: GIS Technician (Onsite)
Location: Darien, GA (1181 Coastal Drive SW)
Pay Rate: $30/hr W2 (No benefits)
Duration: 4 months (Extendable based on performance)
The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) seeks a detail-oriented GIS Technician to support its Local Government GIS Collection initiative. This role involves preparing GIS street data for integration into the statewide road network.
Key Responsibilities:
Edit road centerlines and update attributes.
Coordinate with local governments for data verification.
Use ArcGIS tools to analyze and manage GIS data.
Assist with database queries, reports, and project updates.
Create and produce GIS maps and datasets.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor s degree (completed or in progress) in GIS, Geography, or related field.
Proficiency in ArcGIS 10.x.
Preferred:
GIS experience in city or county government.
Familiarity with shapefiles, geodatabases, and database queries.
Work Schedule:
Onsite in Darien, GA.
Limited telework may be allowed after training.
Salary : $30
