Job Description:
We are looking for a Project Manager of Land Surveying for our growing land surveying practice. DPI is a leading multi-disciplinary land development consulting firm serving the three southern New England states (CT, MA, RI) from our home office in South Windsor, Connecticut.

We perform all aspects of land surveying, including boundary surveys, topographic surveys, construction stakeout, as-built surveys, and digital surface modeling. DPI has numerous large land surveying projects under contract with multiple private- and public-sector clients in CT, MA, and RI.
Summary of Duties:
- Work with V.P. Surveying and Senior Survey Technician to prepare survey mapping, including boundary and topographic surveys, easements, subdivision plans, project proposals, etc.
- Boundary computations
- Assist with field crew supervision, preparation, and scheduling
- Import and process field book data from the field crews
- Create topographic maps utilizing TIN surfaces based on survey data
- Conduct land record research on subject and surrounding properties
- Periodically serve as a crew chief
- Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures.
- Train department staff in land surveying methods, practices, and quality control.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Land Surveyor (MA, CT, or RI preferred)
- Associate's degree in Land Surveying or related field required. Bachelor's degree a plus.
- Minimum of five years in a supervisory role.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D software utilized in a land surveying capacity (4 years minimum)
- Strong interpersonal skills and client coordination
- Complete understanding of field survey methods and procedures
- Willingness/ability to periodically serve as crew chief, as needed, including working in all weather conditions, walking long distances on potentially difficult terrain, and carrying survey equipment
- Experienced in preparing digital surface models for GPS equipment or site design experience a plus, but not required
- Ability to multi-task, detail-oriented, and strong organizational skills
- Consistency with meeting deadlines
- Strong written and oral communication skills
