Duration: 12-month contract (with the possibility of extension)
Shift: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Job Description
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to dispense medications, maintain inventory, and support healthcare providers and patients.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Dispensing Medication
- Prepare and deliver medications to patients accurately and on time.
- Investigate and resolve issues with missing doses or medication errors.
- Load and restock automated dispensing cabinets (ADC) efficiently.
- Prepare discharge medications by counting, labeling, and packaging.
- Conduct regular inspections of medication storage areas to ensure safety and compliance.
2. Managing Pharmacy Inventory
- Receive, store, and organize medications and supplies.
- Monitor and replenish inventory in ADCs and on patient floors.
- Check for expired medications and update stock accordingly.
- Process returned medications and ensure proper labeling and storage.
3. Providing Information and Assistance
- Respond to calls and requests from healthcare providers professionally.
- Help hospital staff and patients with questions about medications.
- Assist at the pharmacy counter and ensure all interactions are courteous and efficient.
