About Us:
We are a dynamic and growing healthcare organization seeking a Healthcare Compliance Attorney to help us navigate the legal landscape and ensure that we remain fully compliant as a new organization. This position will be critical in reviewing contracts, advising on regulatory issues, and keeping us aligned with healthcare laws and best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Review and draft contracts, including provider agreements, vendor contracts, and other legal documents.
- Advise on healthcare regulations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws (including HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid, and other relevant policies).
- Help establish policies and procedures to maintain compliance with healthcare laws and industry standards.
- Provide legal counsel on risk management and potential liabilities related to operations.
- Keep the organization informed of relevant legal changes and their impact on the business.
- Work closely with internal teams to address any compliance-related concerns.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active bar membership in good standing.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in healthcare law or compliance.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations (HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, insurance, etc.).
- Experience in contract law and negotiating healthcare-related agreements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a part-time, contractor role.
