What You’ll Do:
- Assist the Lead Driller in mobilizing and operating drilling rigs
- Support geotechnical and environmental subsurface exploration by collecting soil and water samples and logging boreholes
- Handle drill tooling and materials while maintaining a safe work environment
- Work with various drilling methods, including Auger Drilling, Mud Rotary, Rock Coring, Air Rotary/Hammer, and Casing Advancer techniques
- Perform physical labor, such as stacking drill pipes, shoveling drill cuttings, and lifting heavy equipment
- Conduct routine maintenance on assigned equipment and vehicles under the guidance of the Driller/Mechanic
- Follow safety procedures and regulations (OSHA and AIMRIGHT’s Health & Safety plan)
- Wear and maintain Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
- Assist in building and yard maintenance as needed
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable DMV record
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs repetitively
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, lift, and walk for long periods
- Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, or dry)
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Interest in learning drilling operations and field techniques
