Job Summary:
We are seeking a part-time faculty member to teach day and/or evening classes at our Windsor campus and/or other assigned locations. The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive service technology and hold or qualify for a post-secondary vocational credential in automotive issued by Aims Community College CTE Office.
Responsibilities:
- Teach a variety of courses in Automotive Service Technology depending on the candidate's area of expertise.
- Conduct assignments and co-curricular college activities in a manner consistent with the philosophy and purpose of Aims Community College.
- Hold or qualify for ASE Certification in the area to be taught prior to date of instruction.
- Meet the minimum qualifications outlined below.
Minimum Qualifications:
- AAS degree or equivalent in Automotive Service Technology.
- At least two years (4,000 hours) of approved experience in automotive service discipline.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification in the area to be taught prior to date of instruction.
- Shall hold or qualify for a post-secondary vocational credential in Automotive issued by Aims Community College CTE Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous college teaching experience.
- Maintenance and Light Repair certifications (A1-A8).
- Advanced ASE Certifications (L1-L3).
