Ainsley Search Group is hiring for an Mechanical Design Engineer to join a Global Manufacturer located in Philadelphia. This Design Engineer will oversee product drafting, engineering design, new product development, production testing, prototyping, implement and improve manufacturing process, provide technical support to customer based on product design and application. Responsibilities:
- Report to the R&D Manager and collaborate with cross functional teams to conduct new product development, design, modeling, testing, and prototyping using Solidworks and AutoCAD.
- Review customer specifications, product design, drawing, conduct design modification and engineering changes using, develop manufacturing manual regarding BOM, manufacturing process, fixture design, tooling, equipment, etc.
- Lead CAD detailing and modeling on customer design, follow test procedure and prototyping process, create BOM, oversee equipment set up and support production process.
- Lead commercialization on new product, develop and test manufacturing processes across extrusion, batching, assembly, heat treating, etc, support the design and development of tool and fixture.
- Analyze process and troubleshoot process and equipment, collaborate with Quality team to conduct root cause and implement CAPA to reduce quality issues, eliminate waste, and facilitate process changeover, improve process efficiency and reduce re-work issues.
- Apply design change and engineering changes as needed to improve product application, manufacturing, and quality.
- Support process changeover in between customer projects, continue access process on materials, equipment, tooling, and manpower.
- Provide hands-on training and coaching to production personnel on process, process improvement, changes, equipment set-up and maintenance, etc.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical Engineer or related fields.
- Recent years of experience as a Production Technician, Design Engineer, within Manufacturing industry, exposure to assembly, injection molding, extrusion, etc..
- Solid knowledge with AutoCAD and Solidworks, experience to product development, design, test, prototype and transition design to manufacturing process.
- Solid knowledge in manufacturing process of extrusion, injection molding, 3D Printing, assembly, etc.
