A well-established manufacturing company in the Easton, PA area is seeking a Purchasing Agent to join its growing team. This role is responsible for procurement, supplier management, and inventory coordination to ensure smooth production operations and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procure raw materials, components, and supplies to meet production schedules while maintaining cost control.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to optimize quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with production planning teams to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Work with internal teams (engineering, quality, and operations) to ensure materials meet specifications and compliance standards.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and supplier performance improvements.
- Maintain accurate purchase orders, supplier records, and ERP system updates.
- Resolve supplier-related issues such as delivery delays, quality discrepancies, and invoice discrepancies.
- Stay informed about market trends, pricing fluctuations, and industry best practices to support strategic purchasing decisions.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 3 years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of cost savings and supplier relationship management.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).

Pay: $77,675.00 - $85,000.00 per year
