The Ainsley Search Group is actively hiring an expereinced Textile Product Manager to support a national manufacturer at their Columbia, South Carolina facility.This Product Manager will be responsible for leading product planning and marketing for one of their medium sized business units. This includes managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, manufacturing and sales to deliver winning product value propositions. The Product Manager ensures that the product and marketing efforts support our overall strategy and goals.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Business Director, participate in defining the product strategy and roadmap
- Work across functional lines to optimize profitability of current product portfolio
- Spearhead reporting and market analysis
- Support product improvement goals
- Analyze current customer data and propose actions to maintain and grow business
- Assist sales team in identifying and evaluating market qualified leads through the website, social media, etc.
- Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
- Create product pricing and positioning strategies
- Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
- Interact closely with engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources
- Spearhead product launches including working with PR
- Discover and lead promotional plans
- Communicate and report findings to executives
- Act as representation of company with onsite customer visits
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree Mandatory
- 3 years of experience as a Product Manager or Marketing Manager
- Understanding or experience with Plastics, Polymers, Textile, Nylons, or Similar
- Strong Communication Skills, Written & Verbal
- Ability to work well with internal teams & customers
- Creative and Motivated
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
