Gathering and sharing appropriate information and ensuring targets are met and procedures are always followed.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for inventory management and processes required to ensure material input to support customer requirements while financial inventory objectives are accomplished.
- Assist in the coordination of planning and scheduling activities for assigned commodity utilizing pronto and advanced planning tools to model, simulate, and release optimized material plans to the organization. Identify all critical hardware shortages, control inventory levels of hardware, and coordinate the disposition of obsolete, non-conforming, and excess hardware.
- Apply appropriate optimization methodologies to balance service level, inventory, and resource utilization using advanced planning tools for all North America locations.
- Assist in Monitoring performance to the material plan and take pro-active action to solve problems and mitigate risk in meeting the plan.
- Assist in maintaining and analyzing manufacturing Bill of Material (BOM) accuracy for material availability and that pronto purchasing parameters are continually updated.
- Analyze data and collaborate in the determination of appropriate order, inventory, and replenishment policies.
- Interface with the operations team as required.
- Create and execute procurement plans ensuring all parts are delivered to specification at negotiated price and lead time to allow on time release of the Master Production Schedule. This will include determining economic order quantities (EOQ), preparing Requests for Quote (RFQ), performing cost and price analyses, vendor selection, placing purchase orders (PO), monitoring delivery status and expediting when necessary.
- Assist in managing inventory for assigned parts portfolio, aligning material input to support operations requirements while financial inventory objectives are accomplished (safety stock calculation / Make vs Buy / Slow Moving Inventory (SMI) / MOQs).
- Work with Ops team to develop and execute the Master Production Schedule in a timely manner to meet customer demand and delivery goals.
- Assist in maintaining the production planning process for assigned products, communicating with production and all other functions to ensure plans meet all customer commitments.
- Expedite production or purchase orders that are needed in less than the normal lead time to improve the shortfall between the current plan and requirements to meet or exceed customer expectations. Identify root cause of shortage and monitor implementation of related corrective action plans.
- Pursue continuous improvement for quality and cost reduction areas including improving first time yield and reduced inventory levels.
- Create and analyze inventory reports to reduce inventory, optimize utilization and evaluate supplier performance.
- Generate consumption vs. planned, ordered reports, inventory balances, and target & process cycle time performance measures for management review.
- Promote customer satisfaction and develop positive internal customer relationships.
- Analyze sales forecast and run comparisons to historical data.
- Must become pronto proficient within 90 days.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 3 years in a planning/procurement role within a manufacturing facility
- Working within a Purchasing Team is preferred
- Experience of statistical reporting, forecasting and understanding of financial and operational impacts of forecasting and inventory control
- Proficient knowledge and experience with ERP/MRP systems is essential
- Six Sigma experience a plus
- College degree or equivalent work experience may substitute for education
- Strong interpersonal skills
