What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fund Operations Manager position at AION Management?
SUMMARY: AION is seeking a candidate to join our team to oversee the day-to-day operations and fund administration for a portfolio of real estate investments held in complex Fund and Co-Investment vehicles. This is a hands-on and highly visible role with exposure to all aspects of the business and potential for significant growth.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Act as main point of contact for all operational matters of AION Fund and Co-Investment vehicles and central liaison for all internal teams (Investment/Asset Management, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Investor Relations)
• Supervise third-party Fund Administrator (SEI/Catalyst): provide direction for, and review of, capital transactions, allocations, notices, capital statements, & customized reporting as needed
• Lead quarterly Investor Capital Call/Distribution process (calculations, allocations, notices, cash inflows/outflows)
• Participate in onboarding of new investors, investments/vehicles
• Identify opportunities for efficiency and automation
• Ad hoc projects and detailed investor inquiries as needed
• Key Recurring Responsibilities:
o Fund liquidity management including tracking of intercompany loans, member loans and lines of credit
o Underlying investment tracking
o Cash flow tracking
o Investor equity tracking
o Fund analytics and performance metrics
o Initialize internal cash movements, approve external administrator cash movements
o Maintain workpapers and supporting documentation as appropriate
o Maintenance & improvement of RealPage IMS software
o Guarantor Reporting
o Compliance matters
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA license
• 6-10 years of Fund Operations experience at a Private Equity Real Estate Fund or third-party administrator
• Motivated and dependable team player with impeccable ethics who maintains strict confidentiality
• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and demonstrates sound decision-making skills with an aptitude for identifying the need for escalation of issues
• Ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite & industry Standard software systems (RealPage / Investor Management Services (“IMS”) experience is a big plus but not required)
