Job Summary
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the accounting department and managing the financial reporting process. This role ensures the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements by overseeing the entire accounting close process, maintaining internal controls, and addressing technical accounting matters as they arise.
Responsibilities
- Review and approve payroll on a regular basis.
- Approve and review payments processed through banking systems.
- Conduct monthly reviews of account reconciliations.
- Review and approve journal entries prepared by the team.
- Analyze and review monthly financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of required financial reporting packages on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Establish and manage organizational structures within the department to support efficiency and performance.
- Evaluate current processes and workflows, identifying and implementing improvements where necessary.
- Develop training plans and conduct performance reviews to support team development.
- Set departmental goals and monitor progress using key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Assist in the creation of presentation materials when needed.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits, including compliance audits.
- Lead annual physical inventory processes.
- Provide backup support for other team members when required.
