With 7 years of experience in sales, business development, or senior-level fund development leadership, we value your expertise and dedication.
About the role
Volunteers are the lifeblood of our organization. The Fundraising & Volunteer Engagement Director works with our highest tier of volunteers (C-Suite, VPs, Senior Executives) to grow the revenue and impact of the organization. As a natural relationship builder, you will advance our mission, increase volunteer engagement, collaborate with regional staff, enhance community outreach, and maximize ethical revenue generation.
You will spend over 50% of your time out of the office, educating and informing the community and connecting people to our programs and services.
Responsibilities
- Fund and Partnership Development
- Develop and implement an annual volunteer operational plan to expand organizational impact
- Directly develop and manage a portfolio of prospects and actively participate in the cultivation and acquisition of executive level fundraisers.
- Identify, recruit and engage high level volunteer ambassadors.
- Cultivate volunteers over time through a personalized journey – and support the cultivation of new board members.
- Develop new partner opportunities to directly grow campaign support.
- Apply fundraising skills and strategies to strengthen participant relationships and grow fundraising programs
- Raise the profile of our organization by creating positive and enduring relationships across revenue streams (P2P, Major Gifts, Corporate Philanthropy).
- Staff collaboration
- Collaborate with regional and national staff to achieve regional and national goals and to develop new prospects, as well as new opportunities of partnership whether locally or nationally.
- Work closely with the Director P2P, ensuring the efficient and effective operation of your market.
- Educating the public about our services
- Discuss and educate corporations, vendors, potential sponsors, potential fundraising participants and volunteers about our organization's education and support programs.
- Attend and participate in health education or public education sessions and conferences for staff and volunteers.
- Providing Support to People Affected
- Actively refer and connect members of the greater community to programs and services offered to support people affected.
- Ensure seamless collaboration with Regional Community Engagement Leads
- Integrate mission aspects into presentations demonstrating how participants and partners can support the organization's mission
- Conduct mission moments at participant, partner and / or volunteer events
- Support and Promoting Scientific Research in the Community
- Support medical and scientific research, for the purposes of understanding the causes of and developing cures and / or treatments.
