Summary: AIPAC’s National Development Department, located in Washington, supports AIPAC’s fundraising throughout the organization. As a member of the Development Department, the Senior Data Analyst will focus on leveraging data to produce insights, visualizations, and analysis to enhance our fundraising and broader organizational efforts. The candidate should be adept at using tools to turn data into meaningful insights that inform and analyze our fundraising strategies and donor engagement processes. Your work will directly contribute to our mission by enabling more effective and targeted fundraising initiatives.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
• Analyze fundraising campaigns and donor data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Provide actionable insights to optimize fundraising efforts.
• Develop user-friendly, interactive reports that provide real-time insights on performance and trends to guide strategic decisions.
• Develop compelling data visualizations and dashboards to present fundraising trends, donor demographics, and campaign performances to internal teams and stakeholders.
• Use statistical techniques and machine learning models to create predictions that inform business decisions and drive donor segmentation, engagement strategies, donor retention and acquisition.
• Work closely with the fundraising and development team to understand their data needs, offering data-driven recommendations for campaign strategies.
• Leverage APIs from third-party platforms, CRMs, and other external data sources to pull, integrate, and enrich donor data. Ensure seamless and automated data flow between platforms, enabling real-time analysis.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes that automate data retrieval from external APIs to reduce manual data handling and enhance efficiency.
• Rigorously clean and preprocess data to ensure accuracy and reliability. Develop and maintain processes for data validation and cleaning, and construct well-organized datasets tailored for specific analysis needs in fundraising and donor management.
• Train the development team on data interpretation, ensuring a data-informed approach.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or experience in a related field.
• Passion for strengthening the U.S.-Israel relationship.
• At least 5 years of experience in a data analyst role, with a proven track record of deriving insights from large datasets.
• Expert proficiency in Tableau, R, and other data analysis tools.
• Expert proficiency and understanding of SQL, Python, or other programming languages is a necessity.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex data insights in a clear and persuasive manner to non-technical audiences.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and cross-functionally with other departments.
• Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in maintaining confidential and sensitive information.
AIPAC is offering a competitive market base salary between $87,000.00 and $101,000.00 for the position. A job offer within the range will depend on how closely a candidate's skills and experience match the role's requirements. AIPAC also offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package that contributes to employees’ overall total compensation package.
