What are the responsibilities and job description for the Avionics Technician position at Air Accessories & Avionics, Inc.?
We are seeking a skilled Avionics Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in troubleshooting electronics, precision measuring instruments, and aircraft component maintenance. Senior Position Candidate Must be able to work independently with little to no supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, test repair DME, VOR, Radio Altimeter
- Perform avionics troubleshooting, repairs, and overhauls
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
- Use precision measuring instruments such as multimeters, function generators, Oscilloscopes, and counters for accurate measurements
- Solder/de-solder electrical connections with precision and attention to detail
- Collaborate with engineering, and quality control to ensure compliance with FAA/ and customer request specifications
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in avionics and aircraft maintenance is preferred
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting EO's, SB's, OEM technical manuals, drawings, and schematics
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and tools: multimeters, oscilloscope
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in soldering, and wiring electrical connections
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies in the aviation industry
