About the Role :

The Heavy Equipment Technician role is crucial for ensuring that quality repair services are delivered on Bobcat equipment to meet customer needs in a responsive, friendly, educated, and timely manner. This position involves performing basic diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on both customer and dealer-owned construction equipment.

Responsibilities :

• The technician will be responsible for identifying problems with mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, and electrical systems and executing effective solutions.
• Participation in service training programs for skill and knowledge development is also a key aspect of this role.
• The technician will document all repairs and testing for customer and warranty repairs, ensuring that all work is recorded accurately.
• Additional duties may be assigned by the Service Supervisor or management as needed, emphasizing the importance of flexibility and teamwork in this position.
• Provide quality repair services on construction equipment to meet customer needs in a responsive, friendly, educated, and timely manner.
• Perform basic diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer and / or dealer-owned construction equipment and air compressor systems.
• Participate in Service Training programs for the development of skills and knowledge.
• Document all repairs and testing for customers and warranty repairs.
• Identifying, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on equipment using Bobcat technical software.
• As need will travel to customer job sites to troubleshoot and maintain air compressors, various types of air dryers and other air system components as needed.
• Provide failure analysis and equipment / system recommendations to improve reliability and / or performance.
• Consult with and advise customers on compressed air equipment needs, maintenance, and repairs as assigned.
• Technical assistance on equipment start-ups and installations.
• Read and comprehend operational manuals, electrical schematics, and parts breakdowns.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of all products Atlas Bobcat sells and services.
• Perform any other duties as outlined by the Service Supervisor and / or management.
