Field Service Technician I

Air Compressor Works is seeking an experienced level Lead Technician, specializing in servicing and troubleshooting all makes of rotary and reciprocating air compressors. We offer competitive pay based on experience along with benefits.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on a wide variety of compressors, refrigerated dryers, vacuum pumps, blowers and etc.
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks. Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Performs related work as required and requested, as the duties are only illustrative and are not intended to describe every function of the position to be performed by the classification

• Eligibility Requirements
• Must have basic hand tools
• Must be mechanically adept
• OSHA 10 or 30 preferred
• Understand electricity, difference between low and high voltage
• Excellent troubleshooting ability
• Knowledge of some piping
• 1 - 3 years mechanical/service experience
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
• PC literate with general Microsoft products
• Salesforce experience a plus
• Self-motivated and can work independently
• Knowledge of Kaeser, Gardner Denver and Ingersoll Rand preferred
• Refrigeration Certified preferred
• Parking for company vehicle
• Valid FL driver’s license / clean driving record
• Legally authorized to work in the US
