What You Will Do:
As a Drafter, you will be responsible for drafting customer configurations from submittal to release drawings to the plants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read customer architectural elevations and mechanical plans.
- Use 2D AutoCAD software to configure designs from existing standard drawings.
- Prepare clear, complete, and accurate customer drawings from job drawing edits and/or engineer sketches.
- Apply strong working knowledge of drafting fundamentals, including orthographic views, standard dimensioning practices, and scaling.
- Create new drawings by checking dimensions from physical parts with digital calipers.
- Ensure the best design principles and business practices are utilized to meet customer needs.
- Organize work and maintain a high level of productivity output.
- Commit to and meet project deadlines.
Qualifications Required:
- Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret specifications into detailed drawings for customer submittal and release acceptance.
- Adaptability to workload requirements, design changes, and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, machines, and various building materials.
