We are currently seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to join our growing team! This role is a key member of the Finance Department and is responsible for managing the accounting team, assuring financial health of the organization to promote success and growth while maintaining legal financial compliance.
What You Will Do
- Plan, lead, and supervise the activities of the accounting, accounts payable and accounts receivables department staff.
- Provide on-the-job training and guidance as needed.
- Establish yearly SMART objectives.
- Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Focus on daily and month-end accounting to determine results, including P&L activity (management fees, fee splitting, gross-ups, reclasses), balance sheet activity (deferrals, accruals), and accounts-receivable cash application, in compliance with GAAP.
- Establish a monthly close calendar, monthly accounting task list and coordinate the accounting team to meet corporate reporting deadlines.
- Prepare, document, and record necessary accruals in compliance with Air Global financial policies and procedures.
- Develop financial policies and procedures in alignment with Corporate Controllership guidelines.
- Assure that monthly balance sheet, bank and Payroll reconciliations are prepared and signed off by Corporate Controller.
- Provide financial information to external and internal auditors as required.
- Execute accurate reporting that enables sound analysis and financial recommendations.
- Comply with national and local financial regulations by studying existing and proposed legislation.
- Coordinate strategic financial planning for the company and its clients, including expenses, income, insurance coverage, objectives, tax status, and risk tolerance.
- Support finance partners in implementing valuation models, measuring results, tracking performance vs. expectations, and providing recommendations for corrective action.
- Supervise weekly payment runs. Monitors and assures prompt payments to suppliers, and vendors.
- Supervise Accounts receivable and Accounts Payable processes. Making process improvement recommendations.
- Complete governmental surveys, responds to tax audits.
- Perform Ad hoc analysis and other related duties assigned by the Finance Director of Americas and Corporate Controller.
