About the Role:
The Warehouse Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse facility in Los Angeles. This position is responsible for effectively planning, managing, and coordinating the receiving, storage, and distribution of Air Fayre’s inventory of Dry, Cooler, and Freezer products. Ensure accurate and timely inventory and cycle counting, timely order fulfillment, and efficient operations while maintaining safety standards and optimizing costs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control and warehouse operations through MRP and WMS.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ServSafe certification/extensive knowledge of HACCP
- Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Certification in logistics or supply chain management.
- OSHA certification
Responsibilities:
- Take accountability for the coordination, planning, assigning, and prioritization of work in the warehouse.
- Ensure that the warehouse department is running efficiently and optimally.
- Develop and promote a team culture which is customer focused with a primary emphasis upon improved flexibility of operations.
- Manage and ensure compliance to inventory accuracy and departmental cost control.
- Reviewing warehouse procedures and continually evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls.
- Produce and manage departmental rosters and holidays in an effective manner.
- Ensure good warehousing practices and adherence to the Quality Management Systems that are in place.
- Responsible for the maintenance and implementation of good Health and Safety measures in the work environment.
- To keep up to date and appraised of all new health and safety and fire legislation and bring in to action any recommendations.
- Undertaking perpetual inventory maintenance and management.
- Assist in monitoring the development of the warehouse team through continual job assessments and training needs.
- Ensure all relevant paperwork/administration is completed on time and accurately by team members.
- Responsible for warehouse, HACCP logs and adhere to food safety practices.
- Responsible for inventory integrity, FIFO practices, and waste control.
- Work, train, and monitor continuous improvement initiatives and standard work
