Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Food Safety & Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations. You will play a crucial part in maintaining our commitment to quality through rigorous testing, analysis, and documentation processes. The ideal candidate will have experience with quality assurance methodologies and a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
Duties
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, Food and Drug Administration Food Code, safety, health, environmental and other regulations.
- Manage the Unit HACCP Requirements and ensure records are verified and filed as required.
- Support and deliver new hire and recurrent food safety and related required training.
- Set quality assurance & food safety objectives with the Director of QA and monitor/evaluate HACCP plan annually through ongoing verification.
- Conduct monthly vendor/supplier audits with Supply Chain manager and unit self-assessment to measure adherence to Food Safety and Quality Assurance Programs
- Investigate and process day-to-day food quality and safety issues identified, collaborating with the management team to improve outcome.
- Coordinate emergency actions involving food safety, including but not limited to, recalls, alleged foodborne illness, allergy issues, microbiological sampling.
- Work with the General and operations management staff to ensure excellent food safety and quality assurance to each airline customer through ongoing evaluation of customer specifications.
- To undertake such other duties as directed by the Director of QA and General Manager as deemed necessary.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; and participating in professional organizations.

Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Food Industry
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal and able to communicate within all levels of the organization concerning current regulations and requirements
- Intermediate literacy with Microsoft Office & the PC environment.
- A professional image and demeanor, establishing a positive presence and relationship with our customers and suppliers
- Personable and responsible character able to work in a fast-paced environment
- ServSafe & HACCP Certified preferred
- Bachelor of Science Degree preferred

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
