- The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for an Electrical Engineer (GS-0850-09 Target 12) to work at Cheyenne Mountain SFS, Colorado.
- Looking for a project manager for underground facility with experience in the electrical field with the ability to review statements of work. Ability to plan future requirements for infrastructure and work with team as well as individually.
- Salary $62,724 - $118,254 (SSR Table 0422 applies for Colorado Springs)
- Travel authorized up to 25%
- This position may be eligible for a relocation/recruitment incentive

- The employee must meet the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position. The selectee will have up to 24 months to meet the applicable mandatory experience, education, and training requirements.
- This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
- This position has been designated as Critical-Sensitive. The employee must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance as a condition of employment.

- Professional knowledge of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and practices and familiarity with architectural and other engineering disciplines.
- Knowledge of a broad range of engineering and construction standards, methods, practices, and techniques, materials, and equipment to determine compliance with federal, state, and local codes and regulations; of standard contracting regulations, practices, and procedures as it relates to facilities engineering; knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirements as outlined in applicable standards, regulations, and/or technical orders; of environmental principles, practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and current legislative issues; of work classifications and the regulatory and statutory restrictions on the expenditures of appropriated and non-appropriated funds.
- Knowledge of automated data processing concepts, systems capabilities, and economic usage to effectively accomplish assigned functions; and knowledge of program planning and budgeting cycles, financial control and budget systems and management.
- Knowledge of aesthetic and functional design techniques and skill in preparing project documentation, to include preliminary drawings, sketches, and construction drawings; and technique / skill in drafting sufficient to convey design concepts and ideas and formulate working drawings.
- Ability to plan, conduct and record site/facilities surveys and inspection; to analyze, interpret, and apply results, rules, regulations, and procedures in a variety of situations and recommend timely and economical solutions.
- Ability to plan and organize work and coordinate with other engineering disciplines and architects; and communicate effectively both orally and in writing and maintain good working relationships.
