The purpose of this position is to serve as a 1st level supervisor serving as a professional electronics engineer/computer scientist with project management, execution, and operational responsibility in assigned area(s). Directs, manages, and oversees operations of the Enterprise Business Tools Branch within the Technical Management Division. Provides world class software solutions in support of the enterprise. Integrates people, business, and technology by developing premier enterprise software solutions to power the organization. Utilizes DevOps and Agile methodologies to rapidly develop business tools to help executives, managers, and teams make timely and informed business decisions. Ensures the organization utilizes the right products in an effective way to support overall business goals and strategic priorities. Embraces change and promotes innovation to consistently deliver high-quality software solutions for the Air Force software enterprise. Qualifications: - U.S. Citizenship - Obtain & maintain Secret Security clearance - This may be a designated Drug Testing Position - Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical (if applicable) - Position may be eligible for Referral Bonus Program Recruitment Knowledge Skills and Abilities: - Professional knowledge of electronics engineering and computer science concepts, theories, principles, and practices and working knowledge of other disciplines, such as aerospace, industrial, mechanical, and/or electrical engineering; of a broad range of engineering standards, precedents, methods, and techniques to ensure work in compliance with regulations and standards; and the applicability of such knowledge to the full range of duties concerned with design, production, and maintenance of Operational Flight Programs, Automated Test Systems, Test Program Set Software, and other systems used to support the warfighter and weapons systems program offices. - Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures. - Knowledge of standard contracting regulations, practices, and procedures. - Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization. - Knowledge of budgeting, procurement, standard configuration and finding regulations, practices and processes related to system acquisition and sustainment management functions. - A professional degree at the bachelor’s level from an ABET accredited institution in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or a closely related discipline is required. - Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft - The Incumbent is subject to recall during non-duty hours, weekends, and holidays to complete proposals and/or resolve software problems.
