The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an expert level General Engineer and Team Leader responsible to supervisors or managers for assuring the work of their assigned team is carried out by performing a range of planning, coordinating, coaching, facilitating, and related supportive duties and responsibilities. Serves as a lead program manager and senior subject matter expert, researching, developing, and recommending new and innovative corporate policies, practices, and processes for the management of AFSC/SW’s physical infrastructure. This position performs official lead duties over three (or more), subordinate professional employees with job experience ranging from varying levels of the trainee and developmental phase to journeyman level by overseeing projects, assignments, and performing work assignments and/or studies encompassing AFSC/SW’s physical infrastructure. Program development and oversight includes one or more of the following: Military Construction (MILCON), Maintenance and Repair (M&R), Facility Management, Space Management, AFSC/SW’s Integrated Decision Making Framework, Capital Investment Program or other supporting programs related to AFSC/SW’s mission. Qualifications: - U.S. Citizenship - Obtain & maintain Security clearance - This may be a designated Drug Testing Position - Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical (if applicable) Recruitment Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 1. Knowledge of a wide range of advanced multidisciplinary professional engineering concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, materials, and equipment to effectively apply advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts to project development, execution, and advisory services. 2. Knowledge of development engineering methodologies sufficient to apply experimental theories and/or new applications to issues and provide technical advice and direction in support of weapon systems, subsystems, and/or support equipment. 3. Knowledge of systems engineering practices and procedures as they pertain to sustainment, modification, logistics, and production management principles, concepts, policies, and systems. 4. Knowledge of the principles of planning and program management; of standard acquisition regulations, practices, and procedures; and of other engineering disciplines used in support of sustainment, modification, and maintenance programs. 5. Ability to lead a team, devise and evaluate criteria, parameters, characteristics, and interrelationships for design approaches; to assess the impact of new technology on current systems and processes; and to gather, assemble, and analyze facts, form conclusions, and devise and recommend solutions to problems. 8. A professional degree at the bachelor's level from an ABET accredited institution is highly desired. 9.
