REQUIREMENTS: PRIMARY DUTIES: The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as the senior logistics management specialist in support of strategic sustainment acquisition phases of assigned systems, programs, or major equipment. To lead the members and stakeholders in the implementation of the sourcing strategy utilizing the eight-step strategic sourcing process and continuous process improvements to streamline contractual efforts. Conduct analyses on past, current and future performance and spend data to select the best overall strategy for portfolio. Understand key 12 Product Support Elements, the differences between supply ad services contracts, Title 10 depot maintenance, depot maintenance partnering, performance-based logistics, and impacts to small business participation to name a few. Develop recommendations for the acquisition strategies for the squadron to achieve overall Wing/group goals and objectives. MISSION STATEMENT: Mission Statement for Organization: Plans, directs and manages the Supply Chain Operations activities of the Squadron to include developing enterprise demand and supply plans; developing and monitoring supply chain execution and sourcing activities; ensuring organizational compliance; and serving as the Squadron's focal point for all customer relationship management issues pertaining to Electronic Warfare management. Provides sustainment of weapons systems commodities worldwide by providing Supply Chain Management life-cycle support to include full spectrum technical support to all commodity customers. MAJOR DUTIES: DUTY 1: Serves as a logistics project lead/manager, conducting organizational and process related studies and analysis of organizations, functions, and work processes to improve mission effectiveness, resource allocation and efficiency, functions, and work processes to improve mission effectiveness, and resource allocation. DUTY 2: Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the organization, ensuring that logistics management related operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs. Develops goals and objectives that integrate organization and logistics related objectives. Establishes, revises, or reviews policies, procedures, mission objectives, and organization design for the staff, as necessary to eliminate work problems or barriers to mission accomplishment, promote team building, implement quality improvements, or in response to concerns with regulatory compliance and/or customer requirements. DUTY 3: Participates in special logistics related operation projects and initiatives and performs special assignments. Identifies the need for special projects and initiates milestones and goals. Evaluates reports by analyzing facts and performing appropriate research and prepares detailed responses. Determines appropriate recommendations for unresolved or questionable problems and performs follow-up. DUTY 4: Represents the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships. Meets with key customers and coordinating officials to assess customer satisfaction, explain organization policy and procedures, and resolves significant problems that arise. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with accuracy, and maintain good working relations with all individuals and organizations. 5. Ability to work with, lead, and manage various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations as related to organizational issues. Ability to understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution. 6. Skill in interpreting and applying complex DOD, USAF, AFMC, and AFSC regulations, methods, operating procedures, and policies, as well as developing methods and operating procedures as required.
