REQUIREMENTS: The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a logistics management specialist responsible for controlling, coordinating and executing logistics support programs applicable to International Logistics Program and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customer international logistics cases and programs. Duty 1: Assist in performing studies, analyzes data, prepares plans, reports, agreements, tracks action items, monitors support effectiveness with respect to logistics program management, and provides briefings to management when necessary. Duty 2: Assist and participates the activities of the organization, ensuring that logistics workforce management related operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs. Duty 3: Participates in special logistics workforce related operation projects and initiatives and performs special assignments. Identifies the need for special projects and initiates milestones and goals. Duty 4: Represents the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Recruitment Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing. Knowledge of overall missions, functions, and organization of the agency or component. Ability to apply the knowledge to evaluate current organizational strategies and performance. Knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices as related to the requirements for performance-based logistics, acquisition, supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and other support areas. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with accuracy, and maintain good working relations with all individuals and organizations. Ability to work with, lead, and manage various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations as related to organizational issues. Ability to understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution. Skill in interpreting and applying complex DOD, USAF, AFMC, and AFSC regulations, methods, operating procedures, and policies, as well as developing methods and operating procedures as required.
