The primary purpose of this to perform various tasks necessary to manufacture. mold, repair and modify various types of rubber items and special equipment for the Rubber Repair Sub/Unit. Qualifications: - U.S. Citizenship - Obtain & maintain Security clearance - This may be a designated Drug Testing Position - Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical (if applicable) Recruitment Knowledge Skills and Abilities: 1. Knowledge of rubber molding and the ability to make repairs by manufacturing new parts, reinforcing. patching and replacing defective parts. 2. Knowledge of various repair options to accomplish duties assigned and the ability to use properly and safely different tools and equipment needed to accomplish repair/modifications to Aircraft Lifting Pneumatic Bags, Fuel Cells and to mold and manufacture rubber parts. 3. Knowledge of and ability to use shop level geometric and trigonometric formulas to calculate and scribe patterns involving straight and curved edges or irregular curves, angles and planes to plan, lay out work in manufacturing a variety of rubber equipment. 4. Knowledge of safety and environmental standards, regulations, and requirements. 5. Skill in the ability to use complicated measuring instruments, test equipment and hand measuring devices. 6. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams. sketches and technical specifications. 7. Knowledge of proper tool control procedures. Skill in using a wide variety of hand and power tools and sewing machines. 8. Ability to work independently to meet production goals and objectives. 9. Ability to use computer terminals to complete daily tasks.
