This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS. This position is in the Excepted Service.
In the position, you will serve a technical subject matter expect and supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees. We are forging the way through onboarding of cutting-edge technology, modernization of IT, innovation & improvement, business intelligence application, corporate process development and old fashion hard work. - Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance
- A non-disclosure agreement must be signed
- This position is designated by the Air Force as a testing designated position under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program and is subject to random drug testing
- Mastery of cybersecurity principles, organizational requirements (relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, non-repudiation), and cybersecurity principles and tenets especially for assessing security controls.
- Knowledge of Air Force organizations, Information Warfare Community agencies, Air Force and Intelligence Community Directives governing information technology planning, cybersecurity assessment and authorization, and cyberspace operations.
- Skill in determining how a security system should work (including its resilience and dependability capabilities) and how change in conditions, operations, or the environment will affect these outcomes. This should include aspects of network design process, understanding of security objectives, operational objectives, and tradeoffs.
- Skill in analyzing difficult organizational issues and problems involving organizational operations and the ability to develop, prepare, or recommend new or revised directives, policies, and implementing instructions; and developing and presenting unique or adaptive solutions targeted for any aspect of the organization's operation.
- Mobility is a condition of employment. The employee must sign an Air Force-wide mobility agreement
- Desired Experience: Cyber Operations, CompTIA Security ; CISSP; Project Management Professional (PMP); Certified Information Systems Security Officer (CISSO); GIAC Strategic Planning, Policy, and Leadership (GSTRT); GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC); GIAC Enterprise Incident Response (GEIR); GIAC Systems and Network Auditor (GSNA); GIAC Certified Windows System Administrator (GCWN); GIAC Security Operations Manager (GSO; GIAC Incident Handler (GCIH)
