What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activities Coordinator position at Air Force Enlisted Village, Inc?
SUMMARY: Serve as central point of contact for all resident programs and events at Bob Hope Village.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *
-Adhere to Air Force Enlisted Village (AFEV) policy and procedures.
-Assist in developing, implementing, promoting the BHV calendar, events, newsletter, etc. while managing sign-ups.
-Ensure programs/activities are adapted to meet residents’ evolving needs and desires.
-Maintain event continuity book.
-Facilitate/determine suitability of requested space such as meetings, programs and assign appropriate facilities to accommodate.
-Oversee setup, reconfiguration, and maintenance of ballroom.
-Assist in coordinating/directing resident/non-resident volunteers/contractors for events.
-Coordinate event menus, purchase items with AFEV credit care and pick up food as needed.
-Maintain current listing of area entertainment resources to include prices.
-Manages in-house TV channels and Resident Portal Community App.
-Monitor/track kitchen and ballroom supplies.
-Maintain equipment to include reporting of problems to Director.
Cover reception desk as needed.
-Support Service Coordinator with SARA pendant and smoke responses and battery changes
-Assist in planning and conducting monthly resident Activities meetings.
-Other duties as assigned.

Computer Skills:
-Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word).
-Proficient with copier, printer, calculator, and fax machine.

-Ability to excel in both a team environment and independently.
-Ability to follow directions.
STANDARDS:
- Requires valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
- Good vision is required for working with computer and paperwork.
- Residents needs always come first. Employee must always adhere to the "Mom Rule"
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are required throughout the year.
- Two weekend days a month required.
-Works primarily indoors, with frequent outdoor events.
-Regularly lift/move up to 30 lbs. Requires mobility, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling, and reaching overhead.
- Employees will not work under the influence of mood-altering or illegal drugs or alcohol.
-Neat appearance, adherence to the dress code and good personal hygiene is expected.
STANDARDS:
-Act professionally and honestly in the representation of the Air Force Enlisted Village.
-Possess a valid driver’s license.
