- Serves as Government Special Access Program Security Officer (GSSO) providing information, industrial, physical, and personnel security program functions in support of Special Access Programs within all sites under the cognizance of the AFRL PRS Program Security Office
- Analyzes the Information Security procedures for the organization and determines whether existing procedures should be amended due to special
- Access program aspects or conflicts between requirements from different sources. Interprets, formulates, and implements regulatory guidance for classification management and safeguarding requirements
- Establishes local procedures for the delegation and exercise of classification and declassification authority, development of classification guidance, document marking, safeguarding, and use; personnel access controls; need to know criteria; physical storage and control; and transmitting, transferring, reproducing, downgrading, and destroying information
- Implements and administers the Personnel Security Program for the organization.
- Administers an effective and cost-efficient security program for a research and development function.
- Plans, manages, and administers the AFRL Special Program Security Education Program.
- Responsibilities may include Top Secret Control Officer duties as required.

Required Qualifications

- This position will require the following certification, IAW with AFI 36-2645: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) is required within 2 years of the established employee EOD.
