The Integrated Planning Branch, AFRL / XPOX seeks to hire a mid-level scientist & engineering professional in Dayton, OH. The incumbent will serve as an Integration Lead, interfacing with internal and external stakeholders in support of the AFRL planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE) process.
Position duties include, but are not limited to :
- Exercises broad corporate leadership responsibility for interfacing with senior planners, chief engineers, and program managers in support of the AFRL planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE) process.
- Applies engineering theories, principles, practical concepts, systems, processes & regulatory knowledge to develop Science & Technology (S&T) inputs to study products.
- Collaborates with other Integration Leads in overseeing AFRL Mission Organizations (Msn Org) portfolios in order to develop & maintain enterprise level analysis products.
- Utilizes multidisciplinary professional engineering knowledge to analyze Department of the Air Force (DAF) United States Air Force / United States Space Force (USAF / USSF), CWG, Msn Org, and S&T portfolios to advise CWG & AFRL leadership on strategy, program alignment, program creation and research gap closure.
- Incorporates Msn Org's strategic, objectives, core technology competencies & current efforts (R&D programs & their projects) when collaborating with & serving as the interface between Msn Org staffs, AFRL / XPO, CWG & AFRL / XPR.
- Assists the CWG's Mission Area Leads and Engagement Leads with developing solutions to meet AFRL customer needs.
- Assists AFRL Engineering Directorate with analysis and recommendations regarding the development, briefing, configuration control and oversight of Vanguards, AFRL / CC priority Research & Development (R&D) programs, Applied Technology Demonstrations and other R&D programs.
- Develops options for the AFRL Program Objective Memorandum (POM) input consistent with AFRL Corporate Investment Strategy; Interfaces and assists respective Msn Org Program Element Monitors with USAF / USSF level S&T R&D POM-planning & execution activities.
