The Integration and Operations Division, Aerospace Systems Directorate seeks to hire a mid-level, DO-II Security Specialist at WPAFB, OH. The incumbent will administer the Program Protection/Science and Technology Protection Planning implementation by providing guidance and coordinating with outside agencies to safeguard critical information.
Position duties include, but are not limited to:
- Conducts specialized activities across security domains, such as operational security (OPSEC), industrial security, cybersecurity, counterintelligence, and supply chain security to ensure the integrity and protection of sensitive information and technologies.
- Manages the activities within a classified secure space to ensure they comply with regulations and standards.
- Regularly conducts security audits and inspections to identify and address vulnerabilities.
- Acts as primary Special Security Representative (SSR) for a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).
- Oversees the proper storage and handling of sensitive materials.
- Trains personnel on security protocols and emergency procedures for assigned secure space.
- Coordinates with external security agencies and continuously updates security measures based on the latest intelligence and technological advancements.
- Applies information protection principles to mitigate OPSEC vulnerabilities.
- Helps administer the Industrial Security program by providing technical guidance in conjunction with Contracting Officers to ensure all solicitations and contracts include the appropriate security clauses and language.
- Helps administer the Information Security program.
- Administers procedures for the delegation and classification/declassification authority; development of classification guidance, document marking, safeguarding, and use; personnel access controls; need to know criteria; physical storage and control; transmitting, transferring, reproducing, downgrading, and destroying information.
- Helps administer the Personnel Security program policies and implements procedures for managing the program.
- Assists branch chief in administering the overall security program to ensure that personnel and critical information are protected.

Required Qualifications
- United States Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance
- Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC)
- At least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade, DO-I/GS-11 or equivalent in other pay systems.
- Specialized experience includes experience administering security programs, safeguarding critical information, and adhering to established guidance/regulations.
- Experience with Program or S&T Protection, Information, OPSEC, Industrial, Personnel, Physical baseline knowledge.
- Experience serving as a Special Security Representative (SSR)
- Experience monitoring and managing a SCI Facility
