Job Overview This announcement will be accepting candidate submission until 14 February 2025 The Occupational & Environmental Health Department of the 711th Human Performance Wing within the Air Force Research Laboratory (711HPW / OE) is looking for an outstanding leader, DR-1306-03 Supervisory Senior Health Physicist. Position Duties include; but are not limited to : Serves as Radiological Laboratory Branch Supervisor for the Laboratory Services Division. Balances workload and tasks among team members and builds team consensus. Interviews, selects, trains, supervises, mentors, and develops all team members, guiding their technical efforts with accountability for focus and quality. Develops and recommend technical operations policies, processes, and systems. Responds to customer support needs providing thoroughly researched guidance and accurate information to technicians and / or management. Researches, interprets, analyzes and applies DoD, DHA, USAF, and AFRL local regulatory guidance and policy directives pertaining to operations. Keeps Division Chief informed of issues and potential problems and offers well thought-out solutions and recommendations. Manages Radiological Laboratory Branch mission programs in support of Division's mission goals. Promotes a culture where Intellectual Property (IP) is developed, documented, protected, and rewarded. Reviews technical publications as part of technical publication review process. Utilizes scientific / engineering knowledge to assist in IP transfer, transition, or commercialization. This position may require travel. Education : Health Physics Series 1306 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Applicants must have at least one (1) year or 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to DR-02 in the Federal service or equivalent in an alternate pay system. Desired Qualifications K nowledge of Air Force operations, objectives, principles, and methods Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask with strong organizational skills. Experience in mission, major issues, program goals and objectives, work processes, and operations of the Directorate Knowledge of management and organizational principles and practices Strong leadership to mentor and develop other military and government civilian personnel.
