Prepares and services meals to meet CACFP and Air Force requirements. Using a full range of quantity cooking procedures from USDA recipes and menus provided by the Child Development Center Director, prepares such foods as meats, vegetables, casseroles and baked goods. Uses the Food Buying Guide to ensure sufficient foods are prepared for all meals, snacks and special activities. Prepares daily food report of all foods prepared for each meal and snack and submits report to Child Development Center Director. Serves meals to each activity room in a timely manner according to schedule supplied by Director. Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen as required by Military Public Standards. Assists in ordering food, purchasing and preparing food for parent activities, special activities, and weekly food projects.

Qualifying Experience
Must have progressive experience in quantity cooking and baking such as in a children's home, hospital, nursing home, or institution. Must be familiar with the nutritional requirements of young children and the proper preparations of meals IAW USDA and AF regulations. Some experience to keep accurate records and inventories. Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently. Must have current immunizations and a physical is required. A current valid driver's license is required.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
