The IT and Information Operations will effectively provide IT support to International Science Division (IO) personnel with key responsibilities including managing information and assessment programs as well as directly assisting IO Deputy Director / ION Branch Chief with business operations. The successful candidate will work closely with and be supported by AFOSR members based in Arlington, VA, London, UK, and Tokyo, JP to efficiently assist the IO team achieve its science objectives around the world from its five operating locations, London, Melbourne, Santiago, Sao Paulo, and Tokyo.
Position duties include, but are not limited to :
- Manages & leads enterprise-level Information Technology (IT) applications, workflows, infrastructure operations, and development for the International Office (IO).
- Provides IT technical assistance to organizations.
- Serves as POC for the installation network services contract and as the contracting officer's representative (COR) for the AFOSR IT Business Technology support contract.
- Serves as the IO Computer Security Manager ensuring cybersecurity & information assurance requirements, policies, orders, and instructions are applied and enforced.
- Interfaces with AFOSR / IT to communicate business system and manage budget requirements, including hardware, software, & telecom costs, and acquisition of IT and continuity of operations in accordance with policy and mission needs.
- Oversees coordination with telecom providers to ensure mobile, landline and long-haul circuits are operational.
- Develops applications & workflows for reporting, contracting, proposals, and records management.
- Ensures organizational information of shared drives, digital repositories, and web-site postings are accurate.
- Evaluates on-going development of AFOSR enterprise systems (e.g., Pega, SharePoint, Content Server / Livelink, Tableau) and ensures they meet IO requirements.
- Serves as Scientific Technical Information (STINFO) Officer to control, disseminate and dispose of International Program Officers' technical documents.
- Responsible for IO Records Management program as the Area Records Professional (ARP) to include file management, network drives and SharePoint migration, and paper & e-records disposition.
- Oversees Unit Self-Assessment Program (USAP). Represents IO at Business System Steering Committee (BSSC), Area Records
Management (ARM), and USAP meetings.
