About the Role:
The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Information Technology Specialist (NH-2210-02T03) to work at the 412th Test Wing, 412th Mission Support Group, 412th Force Support Squadron, Resource Management Flight (412 FSS/FSR) at Edwards Air Force Base.
To serve as the Information Technology Specialist responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance, and administration of all software, hardware, and components of the network systems for 412th Force Support Squadron MWR programs. Provides technical assistance, training and support to customers.

Location: Edwards, CA (Edwards Air Force Base)
Typical 2025 salary range: $47,019 - $159,716 per year (includes locality)
Travel Requirements: No travel
Direct Hire Authority: NO 6-MONTH WAIT! Recently retired and/or retiring from MILITARY service ARE eligible for immediate appointment for AFTC positions. The 180-day waiting period has been waived for AFTC to hire recently retired and/or retiring service members.
- Provides administrative support to the 412th Force Support Squadron local area network (LAN) and specialized business systems.
- Plans, tests, and configures the entirety of network systems.
- Plans, monitors, tests, maintains, and operates multiple operating systems squadron network platforms.
- Analyzes and resolves problems and trends. Records problem reports as they occur to effectively track outages and types of interruptions to service and to build a knowledge base for future problem resolution.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Obtain & maintain Security clearance
- Certifications/Licensure (if applicable)
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical’
- Security , A Certified is a condition of employment. This position includes Information Assurance (IA) work as a paramount duty requirement. Per DoD 8570.01-M, the incumbent of this position must achieve appropriate IA certification within six months of assignment of these duties. A waiver of this six month requirement may be granted per DoD 8570.01-M, C3.2.4.2 or C3.2.4.3. Failure to receive the proper IA certification may result in removal from this position.
