Responsibilities:

1. Aircraft Inspections

Carry out or supervise technical handling of an aircraft, within the scheduled ground time, according current carriers instructions.

Activities:

• Performs the checklist according to aircraft type and carriers instructions
• Inspects the duties performed
• Signs the required logbook (e.g. AML/CML BOW) for maintenance release

2. Analyzing defects and complaints

Activities:

• Checks pre-arrival information on aircraft status, from crew and/or Maintenance Control Center
• Contact flight crew directly after arrival for debriefing
• Checks logbooks for open items
• Analyses defects and complaints (trouble shooting)
• Decides if defects and complaints can be deferred or rectified immediately
• Informs and consults home base and Service Manager/Operations/Crew upon actions to be taken

3. Repair, technical handling and modifications

Activities:

• Ensures availability of work instructions (checklist)
• Ensures correct and adequate stock control (spare parts and materials) and maintenance of ground equipment (if applicable), in accordance with company procedures
• Plans and organizes repair process and deploys Mechanics
• Performs or supervises repairs and technical handling
• Communicates with home base and Service Manager/Operations/Crew about progress of the repair or the modification process.
• Inspects the repairs and modifications

4. Administration

• Performs all administration related to the technical handling of the carrier, according instructions and procedures by the carrier

5. Supervision of mechanics and engineers

• Checks if duties are performed under safe conditions
• Supports and coaches (Certifying) Mechanics and engineers
• Supports the Maintenance Manager with appraisals (if required)

6. Optimum result of (technical) organization at the station

Assists the Maintenance Manager to develop, adapt and maintain the required organization in accordance with KLM and other carriers standards)

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

• Holds an multi rated EASA Part 66 license, demonstrating currency and 5 years experience in one or more of the following aircraft types - Airbus 330, AirbusA340, AirbusA350, Boeing747-400, Boeing 777, Boeing 787
• Candidates holding an FAA A&P will be considered, provided, Part 147 Level 3, type training completion and a minimum 5 years experience
• Will hold type ratings in at least 3 of the following types; A330, B777, B787 A350 and/or A380
• Has sufficient knowledge about specific operator- and type- procedures including customer demands

Candidates must submit all certifications for verification as part of the recruitment process.

Candidates that currently have the right to reside and work in the USA will have preference, however relocation and other assistance will be provided to the right candidate with appropriate EASA qualifications.

8 hours shift / 5x week / Mon-Sun

Pay: $48.00 - $54.00 per hour
