Role Description
This is a full-time M-Th 8:30-5 & F 8:30-3:30 (or part-time between same hours) on-site role as a shipping and receiving clerk at Air Handling Systems in Woodbridge, CT. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will be responsible for tasks such as handling shipments, packing orders, operating pallet jacks, and maintaining inventory control.
Includes but is not limited to:
- Shipping & Receiving, Packing, and Pallet Jack operation skills
- Experience with Inventory Control
- Strong Communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling shipments
- Physical stamina for lifting and moving packages
- Knowledge of safety regulations in handling materials
Qualifications (Education/Experience/Knowledge Requirements)
Education:
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Experience/knowledge:
• Two years in shipping and receiving operations with wholesaler/manufacturer (preferred).
• Consistent work record.
• Experience operating material handling equipment is a plus.
• Experience with data entry and knowledge of Microsoft Windows.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English
Requirements:
• Accurately follow directions, both written and verbal
Physical Demands
• Regularly lift, push, pull, and move objects up to 50lbs.
• Regularly required to walk, sit, stand, reach, and move about the facility.
• Required to perform work in a manufacturing environment.
Salary : $18 - $20
