Description
Summary Fabricate and weld metal hoses from 1/4" to 12" in diameter of various lengths with infinite end fitting variations. Must determine correct hose and fittings, their locations, cutoffs and prepare hose according to work orders/customer specifications by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Select proper hose and prep to customer specifications for welding (in some cases must be able to interpret drawings).
- Prepare end fittings by grinding, cutting, or using a lathe
- Clean and degrease fittings using wire wheels, grinder, or polishers.
- Test and tag hoses and fill out test reports in Microsoft Word.
- Buff or paint assemblies according to specifications.
- Print labels and/or stamp metal tags.
- Put away stock.
- Weld assemblies.
- Prioritize work loads.
- Maintain Shop Schedule.
- Build and test composite hoses.
- Use Variable Crimper.
- Operates forklifts, scissor lift, pallet jack, chop saw, band saw, lathe, snips, cut off tools, grinders, polishers, hoist, and other basic hand tools.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
