AHP is presently looking to hire Traveling Laborers to assist in our Fall Outage season.
100% Traveling Laborer requires the ability to travel to and from the jobs while performing new skills as part of a team in a fast pace, deadline driven environment. As a Traveling Laborer, we work at heights from 4’ – 100’ on scaffolding with employees being 100% tied off in safety harness. Our jobs can be dirty, but every day is different. We work inside and outside, so the conditions can be hot or cold depending on the season and locations. Experience is preferred, but not required. We do offer on-the-job training and the ability to build experience in the field.
Safety is our #1 goal in all that we do.
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn through on-the-job training.
· Mechanical Aptitude is a plus.
· Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates.
· Mandatory drug test upon hire and random drug testing as host employer’s request.
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 3-5 years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience a plus.
· Welders are a plus and earn more upon testing of proficiency, but we do train in welding as jobs and time allows.
Physical Requirements:
· While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is routinely required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds with assistance.
