Qualifications: 2-3 years related mechanical/technical experience
Hours: Entails 15-20% travel. Overtime anticipated during travel.
Supervisor: Instrumentation Supervisor (Andrew McMahan), President (Quinn Bierman)
Pay Range: $18 – 22 an hour, with overtime pay during travel.
Job Description: Essential duties include the following:
- Complete Mobile Lab Check-Out (clean conditioner, complete calibration/linearity check of Instruments, inventory check)
- A/D signal checks of instruments to DAHS (Data Acquisition and Handling System
- Working with mobile lab trailers by performing equipment checks before jobs.
- Assist with trailer build-outs by building racks and installing wiring
- ECOM check outs and repair, client repairs
- When traveling: Travel to and from the job site, including driving responsibilities under DOT, Properly conduct on-site test of stationary stacks using different analysis and testing methods, Learn system for testing and follow directions of Supervisors.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Communication: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and team members.
- Math: Ability to understand and apply principles of advanced calculus, modern algebra, and advanced statistical theory. Ability to work with concepts such as limits, rings, quadratic and differential equations, and theorems.
- Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to adapt and problem solve in new situations.
- Technology: Excel, Word, CAD, Solidworks, Trello, database entry in Access.
