Tool and Die Maker( 2nd Shift)- PB

Position Summary:

Level Two: Level two tooling machinists work under minimal supervision to operate and perform basic setups of machines such manual and CNC mills, grinders, lathes and EDMs. Basic familiarity with thread/form roll tooling. This role requires intermediate competencies in print reading and inspection processes, as well as basic trouble shooting. 2-3 Years

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

· Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.

• Adheres to quality processes including in-process inspection to ensure compliance with quality specifications.

· Correctly interpret work orders.

· Able to work overtime as needed.

· Operate basic Lathes, Grinders, and polishing equipment.

· Machine intermediate tooling components with assistance.

· Begin to perform basic equipment setups.

· Communicate with other departments as needed.

· Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Required Skills:

· The ability to read and write English.

· The ability to perform basic shop math, fractions, decimals.

· The ability to use basic hand tools, wrenches, etc.

· Intermediate print reading

· Basic familiarity with all relevant tools & equipment.

· The ability to use basic inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers. Comparators

· The ability to read and interpret work instructions and basic prints and dimensions.

Required Experience:

· 2-3 years of experience.

· Some knowledge of EDM machine, comparator, grinders, tool sharpeners, and drill presses preferred but not required.

Level of Education:

· GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.50 - $38.25 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
