About the Job:
At the Air Line Pilots Association, we are seeking a highly skilled Air Traffic Management Engineer to join our team in Tysons, Virginia. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in developing technical specifications, standards, and policies on flight deck-related technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Development of Technical Specifications: Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement technical specifications, standards, and policies on flight deck-related technologies.
- Collaborate with Industry Experts: Engage with industry experts, government agencies, and professional groups to advance Association policies and initiatives.
- Provide Technical Guidance: Offer expert guidance on aviation standards, airspace modernization initiatives, and related technical issues.
- Represent the Association: Serve as the primary point of contact for the development of consensus on industry standards, airspace modernization plans, proposed regulations, and policies.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant area, such as Engineering, Avionics, or Aviation Science.
- Experience: Five years of relevant aviation industry experience, with ten years preferred.
- Skills: Strong technical writing and public speaking skills, solid interpersonal and communication skills, and expertise in U.S. and Canadian Aviation Regulations.
