What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hydrogen Production Technician position at Air Liquide?

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
Carrier Gas Operations provides on-site air separation units producing nitrogen and oxygen gas production with best-in-class safety, reliability, flexibility and total cost of operation to our semiconductor manufacturing customers. Also supplying cost effective high purity bulk gas.
Work to achieve zero personal first aids/injuries.
Comply with all Air Liquide Policies & Procedures.
Comply with Safe Work Permit Process including preparing Pre-Job Plans, executing LOTOs, hot work safety, and confined space safety.
Participate in On-call rotation, and manage operational aspects of the plant outside business hours and on weekend
Operate, start-up and shutdown Hydrogen Plant.
Monitor and control all pipelines for continuous supply, including the plants and continuous quality control.
Operation of pipeline backup system.
Maintain product inventory levels.
Coordinate incoming and outgoing liquid product loads.
Monitor machinery for proper operation and report discrepancies.
Maintain and calibrate assigned analytical instrumentation, including maintaining support gasses.
Maintain security of the plant site for plant personnel and contractor safety.
Perform water treatment tests, and maintain chemical inventory to ensure proper chemical balance for cooling towers.
Switch to back up systems or shut down plants during emergencies.
Communicate with TI if a notification is required to TI/ALEUS LP Bulk Gas Notification Procedure.
Perform housekeeping and 5S duties in assigned areas.
Log all daily plant activities.
Fill and analyze customer product trailers and issue certificates of analysis, and complete all daily/monthly paperwork.
Compliance with all pipeline specifications.
Ensure proper operation of all plant machinery and instrumentation, and report maintenance requests if abnormal operation occurs.
Optimize and maximize plant production.
Represent Air Liquide in absence of management for internal and external customer needs.
Complete tasks assigned by Air Liquide Management.
Identify potential maintenance needs; enter them into the work order maintenance management system (Maximo).

Are you a MATCH?
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required; Technical Associates degree preferred
3 years of technical training or operations experience
Ability to work extended hours/shift work as business needs dictate.
Ability to work nights, weekends and possibly holidays in order to meet shift and on-call requirements.
Valid Driver’s License
Knowledge/understanding of instrumentation, rotating equipment and piping systems.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements for operating plants (Process Safety Management, EPA regulations, FDA regulations, state/local regulations).
Knowledge in the proper methods of locking out and isolating equipment.
Ability to use computers-knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
Ability to work in a team environment; demonstrated self motivated attitude.
Good verbal/written communication skills in order to deal effectively with management and external customers.
Qualified in operation of the forklift, man lift and overhead crane is preferred.
Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to wear required PPE safety equipment including, hardhat, safety glasses, safety shoes/boots, and FRC clothing
Full range of motion; ability to lift 50 lbs.
Able to climb ladders, work off elevated platforms/surfaces
Able to work in non-conditioned environment for extended periods
Able to enter confined spaces for inspection, testing and work

The pay rate for this position in Texas is $28.00-$30.00
