Air Liquide Large Industries provides our customers with industrial gas and energy solutions that are vital to their own industrial production. We own and operate over 2,000 miles of industrial gas pipelines in the U.S. supplying mainly oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and syngas in large quantities from multiple production sources to major customers in the chemicals, petrochemicals, refining and steel industries. Our pipeline operations and industrial gas production facilities are closely monitored 24 / 7 within our leading-edge operations control center located in Houston, Texas. Our operations control group monitors over 89,000 data points and assists with product supply and coordination. We are constantly optimizing our supply network to provide high reliability and energy efficiencies allowing Air Liquide to adjust supply needs more quickly and effectively enabling growth to our customers.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
The main object and purpose of this position consist in providing technical support to operational teams by suggesting opportunities for process improvement as well as refurbishment projects in production plants, while respecting safety, reliability and efficiency of equipment. The incumbent ensures that projects are properly executed to meet production objectives, while promoting ALC's quality and safety objectives.
- Health, Safety, Environmental and Regulatory Compliance :
Provide visible HSE leadership to site technicians and actively champion the Life Critical Safety system (LCS) Works to achieve "Zero Accidents"
Support and maintain all aspects of Health, Safety, Environmental and Regulatory ComplianceOperates facility in compliance with all Air Liquide policiesProvide regulatory training and maintain required regulatory documentation (ISO documentation, RMP, MOC, etc)Keep plant hazard analysis current and displays thorough knowledge of possible hazards and associated safeguards. Compliance with EIS requirements.Ensure all incidents are reported and investigated and corrective actions are completedLeader in site Safe Work Permit (SWP) and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) ProgramsOperates plant safely and reliably :Support the operations of 2 production units at the Port Neches facility producing nitrogen, oxygen and argon to ensure safe, reliable, high quality, and efficient supply of product to the customer
Support the operations with engineering support ranging including MOC creation, small project management, and action item completion.Perform process troubleshooting. Identify and recommend process changes and plant projects to improve plant HSE, reliability and efficiencyOwn Key Operating Documents. Maintain updated red-lines at all times. Display detailed understanding of content and significance of each documentEnsure GT's are understood and followed by the plant staffEnsure operating procedures are followed and updated as neededPartner with the Reliability Center to execute predictive and preventive maintenance to eliminate catastrophic failures and unplanned maintenancePartner with the Reliability Team to execute planned maintenance and unexpected events.Manages, schedules, and executes certain maintenance activities for the site.Set and maintain high housekeeping standardsComplete assigned action items from auditsApprove critical work permits (hot work, confined space, etc.)Manages Costs :Assist in developing plant budget needs

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering required2 years of experience in an industrial production facility in the role of plant engineer or other similar plant operations role; utilities, air gas, chemical, or refinery production experience preferredCandidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future. This position is not open for non-immigrant visa sponsorship.Physical Qualifications :
