Overview : Job Summary
The purpose and expectation of a Tech 2 is to be a self-sufficient entity of the department. The role has either an A&P or equivalent relevant experience of at least 8 years. This role has a wide breadth of experience with our installations, processes and documentation. This role has the competence to take on new tasks, roles, and responsibilities without affecting the basic expectations of a Tech 1 role. This role largely interacts within multiple departments working solutions for installations and continuous improvement of drawings / installations.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following :
Complete structural modifications to helicopters
Install medical support systems into helicopters
Install avionics systems and STC kits into helicopters
Accomplish airframe structural repairs
Fabricate detail sheet metal parts from blueprints
Develop custom installations for medical and avionics equipment
Maintain shop equipment and areas
Perform Air Methods AAIP Inspections & MFG Inspection Program Tasks
Other Duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to five years related aircraft sheet metal repair and modification experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous experience using precision measuring equipment
Previous experience in use of sheet metal related shop equipment
Proficient in using manufacturers maintenance manuals
Skills
Ability to read and interpreting blue prints
Excellent verbal communication skills
Computer Skills
Proficient with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
FAA Airframe Mechanic certification preferred
Compensation
The hourly range for the Mechanical Aircraft Completions Tech 1 or 2 role is $27.99 / hr - $38 / hr.
The hourly range for the Mechanical Aircraft Completions Tech 3 role is $32.79 / hr - $45 / hr.
This position is subject to drug and / or alcohol testing per the DOT / FAA requirements (pre-employment, random, reasonable cause / suspicion, post-accident).
