About the Job
The Supervisory Air Traffic Control Specialist (Terminal) will direct and supervise staff functions affecting a diverse and very complex Air Traffic Control System. This position ensures that the squadron meets all wartime combat readiness standards, domestic operations requirements, and provides guidance and direction to the squadron through planning, coordinating, and directing a variety of functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Directs and supervises staff functions to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Coordinates and directs activities related to airspace management, airfield operations, and air traffic control tower and ATC radar operations.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a formal DoD/DOT Basic Air Traffic Control course.
- At least one year of experience in the grade immediately below the next higher level.
- Equivalent to at least GS-9 or GS-10 experience.
